Viñales could be the first place in Cuba with the title of Geopark World

Among the 52 places to visit in 2018 that the “travel”
page of The New York Times recommended its readers is
located, in the 10th place, the Valley of Viñales, in
the province of Pinar del Río, Cuba.
“There is a world out there, but we have reduced it
for you, from ancient temples to crystal clear waters,
here are our best tourist destinations to visit this
year,” the newspaper proposes.

Exports of Cuban Tobacco International increase by 3.5%
in 2018
Directors of the Cuban International Joint Venture of
Tobacco S.A. they report that in 2018 exports of the
entity grew by 3.5% and sales rose to 21 million dollars.

The company has produced more than 137.7 million units of
manufactured cigars in 2018, despite a delay in the
delivery of 3 million units after the lashing of
Hurricane Irma to the island last September, explained
the president of ICT , Ricardo Soler, cited by the state
-run Cuban News Agency (ACN).
By 2018, the tobacco company has set a production plan
that foresees an increase of 15%, with the purpose of
dedicating more than 150 million units to the
commercialization, the executive said. ICT markets Cuban
tobacco in 120 countries, including Spain, France,
Germany, England, Switzerland, Greece, Canada, Argentina,
Venezuela, Mexico, and some nations in Africa and the
Middle East.

In 2001, ICT was created as a mixed capital company
between the state-owned TABACUBA group and the British
Imperial Tobacco Group, with the aim of manufacturing
and marketing Cuban tobacco made in machine.
